Rally Krkonoše 2009 – 3rd in Class A5

The third edition of Rally Krkonoše started in Trutnov and featured eight special stages. 148 crews lined up at the start and, unlike the previous rally in Třebíč, they enjoyed beautiful sunny weather. In class A5 we started with number 84 among eight cars.

In the previous two rallies the electronics had let us down, so the car went through a complete and thorough overhaul. This time the electronics worked, but the rally was still not without complications. On the fourth special stage we had a puncture and lost roughly seven and a half minutes. On the next stage the power-steering hose burst, so we drove the rest of the rally without power steering.

Despite both problems we finished the rally and took 3rd place in class A5 — the best result of the 2009 season.
